Europe emerged as a particularly strong contributor, supported by favourable market conditions and robust demand recovery. NAFTA, LATAM, and other international markets also delivered encouraging performances, underscoring the resilience and diversification of our business model. Our financial strength enabled us to continue rewarding shareholders.
Revenue for the quarter rose by 9% year-on-year to Rs.1,074 crores. Gross margins expanded by 120 basis points to reach 36. 7 % w h i l e E B I T D A g r e w a healthy 25% to Rs.178 crores, taking the EBITDA margin up by 220 basis points to 16.6%.
At the same time, our focus on operational efficiency and working capital management supports profitability in a market where volume growth, not pricing, is the primary driver of performance. The strength of this approach was reflected in 2025-26, with revenue growing by 22%, supported by volume-led growth and improved profitability as costs stabilised and operating leverage strengthened. It's worth noting, however, that even as the revenue in Europe softened, our Agrochemical’s margins in the re gion actually improved during t he quarter. Given our strong registration base and the long-term relationship, we have built with customers across Europe, we remain confident that volumes there will recover in the comi ng quarters. LATAM, on the other hand, kept up its momentum and has remained one of our st
In Europe the volumes were l ess but the margin was still very attractive and very good. Himanshu Binani: And this is largely due to the product mix or the price increase? Bubna: I would say product mix and also to some extent price increase.
However, persistent global oversupply, particularly from China, continues to exert pressure on prices and limit realisation growth across several product categories. As a result, sustainable performance is increasingly being driven by volume expansion, market share gains, cost efficiency and prudent capital management. In this evolving landscape, business agility has emerged as a critical competitive advantage.
We develop comprehensive dossiers and obtain product registrations in our own name and we continue to allocate substantial resources towards securing registrations, which strengthens our market presence and helps us a substantial foothold across key markets. As on 30th June 2026, our total product registrations stand at 3,016, up from 3,011 on 31st March 2026, with an additional 1,027 applications for product registr
So effectively, your PAT for last year without the FOREX gain, Quarter 1 FY26 comes to around 70 crores. So, is the re a way that we can offset the FOREX gain and mention the PAT on a like-to-like comparison exc luding FOREX as long as you make any regulatory and listing requirements? Shakdher, this FOREX situation is totally beyond any human being's control.
As a result, profitability is increasingly determined by operating leverage, procurement efficiency and cost control rather than pricing gains. This has prompted a broader shift across the industry towards disciplined capital allocation, focused on productivity enhancement, debottlenecking and supply-chain optimisation rather than aggressive capacity expansion. Climate-resilient farming imperatives are further accelerating adoption of biologicals as growers seek inputs compatible with regenerative and low-input systems. However, the sector faces meaningful headwinds, including high development costs, lengthy and complex regulatory approval pathways, and efficacy sensitivity to environmental conditions. An Industry Regaining Momentum The agrochemical industry experienced a meaningful recovery during the year. Following an extended period of inventory correction and pricing pressure, channel inventories across several markets gradually normalised and demand moved closer to underlying consumption levels. While pricing remains below historical peaks, industry conditions strengthened compared to the previous two years.
